I Get to the Flat

The cheapest flights to Barcelona BCN airport can normally be found with Easyjet , flying from Luton, Gatwick and Stansted. However British Airways often have offers which may be comparable. Ryan Air fly to Girona airport which is 103km North East of Barcelona, a company called Resorthoppa provides transfers from Girona to Barcelona city centre.

Transfers from Barcelona BCN Airport

From the airport you can get to the flat by either bus, train, taxi, or rental car .

By Bus The Aerobus leaves the airport every 6 minutes for Plaça de Catalunya, costs €5.06 and takes approximately 40 minutes. This is by far the easiest & cheapest option, check website for exact departure times and further details here

The flat is a 10 to 15 minute walk from Plaça de Catalunya, I will provide instructions for locating the flat once a booking has been confirmed.

By TrainThe train's only drawback is that it's a 10- or 15-minute walk (with moving walkway) from your gate through the terminal and over the bridge. The train leaves the airport every 30 minutes between 6:12 AM and 10:13 PM, stopping first at the Estació de Sants. Change here and take the Metro Line 3 (Green) to Liceu which is on the Ramblas and close to C./Carme and Carrer Hospital. Trains going to the airport begin at 6AM from the Clot station, stopping at the Arc de Triomf at 6:05 AM, Plaça de Catalunya at 6:08 AM, and Sants at 6:13 AM. The fare is €3.01 on weekdays, €3.31 on weekends and holidays.

By TaxiThis will cost in the region of €21. The area is known as Raval; if the driver is not familiar with 'Riera Baixa' then try pronouncing Baixa as 'Ba-ha', this is Castillan.

By CarFollow signs to the Centre Ciutat and you'll enter the city along Gran Via, going under Placa d'Espanya. From there carry on then take the 8th turning on the right which is Carrer de Villarroel. Follow this road to the end which takes you to Placa del Pes de la Palla. Take the road diagonally oppsoite you to the left which is Carrer de la Riera Alta, this leads to Riera Baixa which is opposite you at the end of this street. I wouldn't recommend parking on Riera Baixa itself, instead carry on to the end of the street take a right then left into and park on either C./ Sant Jeroni or C./ Cadena. This can take anywhere between thirty minutes to an hour depending on traffic.

Check the Getting to Barcelona page on the Barcelona City Council website for more travel options

NB C./Carme and C./Hospital run parallel to each other with Riera Baixa running between them. From Carme the flat is on the left just before Bar Resolis.
